Has anyone used heat shrink tubing, rather than metal crimps for rig making.
I did an internet search and only managed to find it for sale and no information on using it for rig making.

Re: Heat shrink tubing
Not sure if heat shrink tubes can hold a knot/joint properly. I use shrink tubes to cover the crimp.

Re: Heat shrink tubing
I have no idea of its suitability for fishing but we use the heatshrink with the glue in it at work for attaching cable to the draw wire to pull through conduits, the stuff sticks like poo to a blanket.

Re: Heat shrink tubing
i agree with fc i think it would be good for covering the crimps but not sure about how well it would hold by itself.
