bait casting reel braid, 30 or 40lb?

hey all,
iv ordered a cod outfit, it is 8-10 kilo so technically it is made for 20lb line. I don't think this will be enough if I snagged or hook a big fish. I guess 30 lb would work well, or would 40 lb be overkill? this outfit will mainly be for river fishing.

For something like jbraid or suffix where they list an arbitrary breaking strain either is fine. For something like majorcrafy dangan that lists exact breaking strains bump it to a pe3 or pe4 that says it breaks at 50lb or so. Both are going to be the same diameter and break about the same its just a difference in how different markets label their braid
