It's surprisingly easy to make a rod. You just need a sharp knife for cutting the thread and a rod holding device that doesn't need to be at all fancy! I used some hot glue to keep the guides in place and a battery BBQ rotisserie from Bunnings $30 for drying the resin evenly. All of this info is on many Youtube channels.

Re: baitcaster rod
In my opinion, the Nexave are much better than the Sienna for just a little extra, so that's a yes. The rods are pretty good for the price. Very nice entry level combo for finesse fishingfisho999 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 3:40 pmok, i think i should get this reel with this rod, any thoughts?

Re: baitcaster rod
Those rods are just rebadged for Anaconda Maikuro II rods. The seaguides are ok, but they don't hold a candle to a Fuji. And the blanks are decent, but lack a little sensitivity compared to others marginally more expensive (I sure as **** wouldn't spend the $130 or whatever they normally want). The reel is decent, nothing special. It's a Sedona with a different paint job essentially.
If the $170odd isn't your absolute Max budget I'd seriously look at spending an extra $60odd and going for a Daiwa TD Hyper 603LFS or Atomic Arrowz AAS-260SUL rod and pair it with either a Shimano Nasci FC or a Daiwa Exceller LT in the 1k size.

Re: baitcaster rod
As cobby said I'd look at a different rod, if you can wait for them to be discounted there the atomic arrows are a great value rod and would be my pick in that price range but the td hypers are a nice stick too
