light reel for my rod

Post by fisho999 » Thu Jun 23, 2022 3:35 pm

I got a rod that needs a reel, its the shimano catana 4-6 kilo spin. looking for a nice reel, I would like it to be light (as in weight).
budget is $150 at the most, but if its a really good reel I will allow 200.

Get anaconda to.price match that if they still have those models.

Otherwise the Daiwa caldia LT or TD black LT reels would be your best bet.

Get the Stradic if you can, can't beat Ci4 technology, especially at that price. The shimano Nasci is also a great reel in that price range. I've been burned too many times with Daiwa reels, plus you get a 10 year warranty on shimano and only 1 year on Daiwa

I have a 1000 Nasci, great reel but for a bit extra those stradics are too cheap to pass up
