Whats your dream set up?
this is just a random question if you guys had a ton of cash laying around and were looking at finally getting that dream rod what would it be? what would you use it for? what would the total value of your dream rod be?
my dream rods pretty simple just a good surf rod and a matching reel with braid already spooled for snapper/landbased fishing.
i look forward to seeing some of the crazy responses and what different peoples dream rods will be used for.

Re: Whats your dream set up?
Probably not far off the two I'm running at the moment, with a couple of upgrades.
Light setup, Ocea Plugger 80m, PE5 with a Stella 6000xg and 30lb Tasline
Heavy setup Assassin Popmaster 8 ft XXH PE 8, Expo 5500 and 60lb Tasline.
These are sufficient for 99.9% of anything that swims.
If I was going to do another GT trip or had an absolute excess of cash, I'd go a Zenaq Tobizo PE10, 2020 Saltiga 20k with 100lb Tasline.
Could upgrade either of the current rods I guess to an FCL Labo or a Zenaq, but I honestly don't think the cost to reward is ever going to be worth it. That Ocea Plugger is a massively under rated bit of kit.

Re: Whats your dream set up?
Don't know where to start welch.
I fish landbased and kayak for bread and butter species, and some occasional other type of fishing.
So my ideal dream setup is the one I know I use a lot.
A high end japanese stuff like Exist or Steez. In 2000 to 4000 size reels.
Currently the dream rod I have is Sage One fly rod I bought years ago. The other dream gear are still in my dream.
