With the recent post about the Gomoku rods, it got me thinking about micro jigging. Have any of you guys tried micro jigging the bay for snapper? Of is the water too shallow to really warrant it?

I'm planning on doing a few trips. I've done 1 for no success but the snapper weren't really about.

10m and deeper is perfect for micro jigging

Over the last couple of nights I've tied a few assist hooks to have a crack next time I'm in ppb drifting along scraglor. Worth a shot.

They have a brilliant reputation. I haven't personally used one but quite a few very good anglers have recommended them to me.

Do you guys think the PE 1-3 would make a good overhead for cod fishing?

I think you might want a faster taper for cod fishing dougie. Whilst strong as buggery these rods bend in half.

It would certainly be capable of it but as ducky said something with a faster action is far more suitable

So can these rods be used for fast jigging for kingies?

Im slightly confused is it for slow jigging or vertical jigging? or you can use for both?
