Good post mate, perfect timing with the buzz around salmon!
I'm looking to pick up something similar and was learning towards something with a longer butt and wrap.
Penn Allegiance II is currently what I'm considering, ~$110-120,
ROD LENGTH: 9'

NUMBER OF PIECES: 2

ROD POWER: Medium Light

LINE RATING: 8-12kg

LURE RATING: 20-70g

Thoughts?

I am hoping to get one a bit lighter, the Veritas looks good as does the Catana. I am currently using a Rovex 8'6 Egi rod because it is light and strong enough to handle decent fish, I wiil have a look over the next few days and see what I come up with

All good mate, it's hard to know sometimes thats for sure!

One that I am also considering is the Daiwa Arid 20 AIRD-X 902MFS so I can still do plastics and metals
Spin 2 9'0"/274cm Medium Fast 14-45g 5-9kg 15669 $109.00
Is that more like it?
