I’d go the FE from anaconda - $29.99 at the moment

EDIT: if you buy two in store for $59.98, you have spent over $50 so you get a free shimano solstace rod with it too. That’s a bargain.

purple5ive wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:32 pmconsidering you cannot buy the FD model anymore its probably pointless mentioning it i suppose, unless of course you want to try and track down a second hand model, but for a $50 reel, i dunno why you would bother.
the newer FG model has gone back to the older style and uses more bearings. the FE only has 2 bearings while the FG has 4 (3+1)
for bait fishing duties i honestly wouldnt be too concerned, if using for lures, then spend some more $$ and get a better reel imo
So what upgrade in more $$ do you recomend for use with Lures?

Solace rod.
But changed my mind went for the Sienna combo at $69 for Sienna FE 2500 on a Shimano Solace XT 702 spin rod 2-4 kg ( 2 piece) 7 footer
for the freebee went for the Shimano Solace XT 701 SSL 6-8 kg (1 piece) 7 footer
