Cape Woolamai sat 6/7/19
Did the Cleeland Bight launch Sat 6/7 around 10 am with 2 of my mates and first stop a squid hunt a bit further down from the sand wall - the others didn't find any but I came away with three the largest going 44 cm and the second around 40 cm ( both real good fish ) and one small one around 30 cm hood
all caught on baited squid spikes ( silver whiting baits )
After that Mal and myself paddled down the the point of Cape Woolamai for a flatty bash drifting and bottom bouncing between 9 and 25 meters and they were really on the chew
didn't matter what bait and they took micro jigs as well ( no doubt plastic would have worked to I didn't take any to try )
always a bit of fun micro jigging and flatties always play the game
Double hook ups were the norm they even jumped onto micro jigs just sitting in the rod holder while dealing with bottom bounced baits
While none were monsters I came away with a good feed of flatties between 30 and 35 cm - lost count of the returned fish
Mal grabed a good feed also
as for Leejo he had a nice paddle in close and no catch to worry about cleaning
great day on the water and probably the smallest swell I've seen out the front - the prefect day out

Just the part of , , , , "Did the Cleeland Bight launch Sat 6/7 around 10 am with 2 of my mates" makes it a great day , , , , the squid (beauties by the way) and the Flatties (awesome to have a hot bite like that) are icing on an already perfect Bro day out :a_goodjob:
On those flatties , , , , I noticed an eerie look from one of the Flatties , , , , it has a ubiquitous eye , , , , that's one of those eerie eyes that when you move left to right and left , , , , the eye follows you
Cheers, Bugz , , , , wonder how many members are going to sway side to side to see if the eye follows you
