As per above with a small tinny you can beach launch and you can transport them on the roof of your car.

Small tiller steer's also cost bugger all to service.

Bigger tinny will take up more space need a trailer and may be difficult to beach launch.

Also need to remember that motorised yaks (even just using a small leccy motor) still need to be registered in Vic' at present.
