Mull Mull Mulloway

Post by nooga27 » Sun Oct 16, 2016 4:30 pm

Hey guys,
Hope youre all doing well!

With the moon as it is tonight im thinking (probably along with a few others) that its a decent chance to chase some jews.
Just checking if anyone knows where they have been getting them lately. I know a nice one was caught in Werribee last week and a couple in the yarra over the last few weeks - obviously more that dont get spoken of too!

Am tossing up between Werribee river mouth, patterson river and the yarra (around westgate area). Does anyone think one of these may be a better chance than the others? Or know if any have been getting caught in these rivers?

Any info or opinions would be greatly appreciated and I will of course post a report here for wherever i end up!

Cheers
Nick

I fished a secret Jewie spot last night.

It was so secret that the Jewies couldn't find it!

There's a lot of freshwater coming down the rivers at the moment, so your best best would be around the entrances. I've never found the Yarra to fish well for mulloway at this time of year, myself, and never caught one from the Werribee, but you never know.

Ooo that's good to know they're still around! Thanks for the info mate. 13th beach is up in Barwon right? If so that's perfect because I'm heading up to point Lonsdale for the cup weekend!

Cheers
