Aussie bass in fresh.
Mulloway in estuary, not only hard to get a hookup, but also pull hard and play 'dirty'.

Never caught kingies or bigger species sharks, but yeah sting ray makes strong heavy pull. Gummy fights good too. Reds fight good but get tired quickly. Big salmon on light gear is probably my pick. Left right jump, etc. Pretty fun.

Can only comment on Fresh

Lure light tackle : Aussie bass
Lure heavy tackle : Cod

Big carp pull all of them backwards.
There is always more to learn , fish to catch , places to see and friends to make.

Salt, the good old eagle ray would have to be up there, and they fight dirty the way the circle around the back of the boat crossing all your other lines to create a massive tangle.

Oh yes. Hooked an eagle ray when I fished on a kayak, anchored with other two rods.
It swam left right centre, tangled my other two rods and anchor line and propeller.
