Still don’t think cats hunch whilst they walk like that, and they don’t have the broad/high shoulders or long thick tail like that

Definitely not the 15-20kg that’s reported though I don’t think
i had similar thoughts on my first look but it doesn't really hold up on closer inspection
cats will hunch when they're hunting to minimise their profile. i'd hazard a guess it was interested in the chirping birds in the background of the video. as a consequence of having it's head down the shoulders probably protruded upwards and became more obvious.
panthers tend to have tails which are of a consistent width and are about as long as their body, but the cat in the video's tail looks too short and tapers like a regular cat. it's head is also very small, and looks super light on its feet for something that's purported to be more than 15 kilos.

Looks similar to our recently deceased cat, Fat Demon, (though the rest of the family named him Mister Mestophloles).
He was 7.5kg, and a big powerful bugger with it.

Have seen pictures of a "Maine coon" (they'll have to change it's name)

my dumbass moggie is 7.5kg. This thing looks a big bigger but still looks to have the pointed ears that domestic cats do. Big cats tend to have rounder ears i thought. Also, those birds are sounding the alarm of a predator, and the cat's doing the "I've been spotted by my prey and now they wont shut up" walk of shame.

yes I've gone full crazy cat lady in lockdown

We had a female Maine Coon years ago it was the biggest cat we have ever had. The males get even bigger. Anyway that isn't a black panther in the video just a big black moggie.
