I had a finesse bc outfit once. It’s a pain in the arse. Spin is much better for the lightweight stuff. Heavier lures though and bc is great.
What did you have?
It's true, for years I use ultra light spin, less hassle, or fly for trout.
Only in the last few days since my mate told me about this finesse bc. Somehow I want to try it.
I might regret it, especially because the outfit is gonna be expensive. But probably better to regret after trying rather than a regret for not trying at all.

Shimano have the Alderbaren 50. Expect to pay over $500 for one though.
Rods, again don't look at the price.... But locally you could get Daiwa Steez Harrier F-Spec at 7ft, Skyray power plus at 6.8ft. Cheaper but don't go as light and if you find one a gen black v2 basstik, lunkerhunter or finneza. The Samurai infinite b12-f66 may fit the bill, again $$$$$. If you want cheaper then.... Import yourself time
I have lunkerhunter, barely able to cast 3gm.
And it's a fast action rod. Those finesse bc mostly medium whippy kinda rod. But yeh, bloody expensive and takes time to get here.

Watch this, great finesse bc skill.

It was a daiwa T3 SV8.1 paired with a majorcraft volkey 4-10lb or something. Probably on the heavy side for finesse Can’t remember the deets. taught myself how to cast in the ponds at APL with what may or may not have been a cx35 ripped back fast over the backs of carp. Lol.

But honestly I just prefer spin in every way except for 1oz plus lures like for cod.

Haha
Volkey is a good rod and T3 is a good reel. I have T3 1016 SH TW and love it.

Yeah agree with bc for cod fishing casting heavy lures. Accurate and easy to cast heavy lures on bc.

There seems to be no market for finesse bc in Australia. Though I can see the use of finesse bc in tight mountain streams for trout. Cast must be accurate casting light lure. Sounds like unnecessary but it's a challenge on its own.

Haha. I went the better part of 10 years without any video games. In about July last year through the lockdowns I finally caved and got a pc and now Escape from Tarkov has become my life. It's a love hate relationship.
