I woke up to the news and it completely devastated me. Haven't been able to think about much else all day.
Kobe's legacy completely transcends basketball. Being a player and mentor of his caliber served as inspiration to millions, including myself.
Such a tragic passing, both him and his daughter who no doubt would have grown up to be one of the best female athletes of all time.
Rest in Paradise Kobe Bryant, and condolences to the Bryant family.

Im in LA at the moment and the mood is really sombre here. I never played or followed basketball, but given by how the city is draped in commemorative gold and purple at the moment , he was a lot more than just a dude who shot hoops for the people here.
RIP KB

Very tragic news.

What really saddens me about the loss is that KB was just getting started on his second chapter. He was so much more than a basket baller and would have contributed so much more. Since retirement he’s already written children’s books, created a kids sport pod cast, won an Oscar for a short film and created amazing amounts of motivational content for people.

I highly recommend watching his personal doco Muse which was created in 2015. Gives a real insight into the mindset of a champion.

R.I.P Kobe

Didn't like Kobe when he played and still don't like him now he's passed away

But can't question his impact on the game. I'm a gigantic Celtics fan, to the point i've been to Boston to watch multiple playoff games, and Kobe himself added many chapters to the historic rivalry of the Celtics vs Lakers

Very upsetting for his family, friends and fans
