"The DEE (Department of Energy and Environment ) have granted our industry a 12 month extension. Therefore the original stipulated stop-sales date was 1 July 2019 and now has been extended until 1 July 2020."

What this means is two stroke engines and engines that won't comply with Euro standards on 1 July 2020 cannot be sold after this date.

All the dealers will be doing very good deals on these engines to get rid of them by the due date.

I suspect the 2019 boat show will have a lot of cheaper packages with these engines on them to move them along.

No dealer wants to get stuck with stock that's illegal to sell.

I'll be more serious when looking at boats this year.... It may be the year I get back into boating again !

i would concentrate more on the RACV Melbourne international Boat show than the 4x4 boating, camping and fishing expo.
Boat show is in july i think from memory, plenty of boats on show and good deals to be had/made.
cheers

I'm presuming you'll still be able to sell 2nd hand 2-strokes privately?

New Emission laws are for new engine sales only... used engines are not effected.

Probably be a lot of 'demo' models available from showrooms after 1/7/20 eh? ;-)

I'm actually eyeing off a Stabi model as we speak ! I'm possibly aiming for a 1410 frontier CC ...

You have exquisite taste...those things are little tanks, I'd feel confident chasing barrels off Portland in one of those

Nice mate!
I know you have only been landbased for quite sometime now.
When did you last own a boat? :)

I want to check out something like Quintrex 385 or 395 tinnie. How much is considered 'good' price you guys think?
