The dog found a new friend in the back yard today.

It was decades before I saw one in the wild, and it was my dog that found it.

See the odd one when river fishing or hunting. Had one approach me as I was flicking a small stream, so I stayed dead still. It came all the way up to me and nudged under my boots and then licked the top of them, until I moved and it realised its error.

He seamed quite shy couldn't get too close. He kept curling up into a ball

They're a beautiful little animal, They always tuck up into a ball when disturbed.. nice to have one in the backyard too..
See them quite often down here in Tassie as well.. here's photo of one the other week when I stopped while it was slowly crossing the road..
