What about the trailer and electronics?

Pretty sure Huntsman built this type of V19 in the late 60's early 70's.

For the same $$$ you could buy a very good much newer boat with a 4 stroke good electronics ect.

45k doesn't buy much new these days.

6m top of the line glass boats are around 100k.

That Haines Hunter is a V19 , custom built by John & Cain Mc Quarrie . I personally know Cain & I bet that boat is built better than survey standard , it will most likely out handle in rough sea's a boat much larger than it . Don't be so fast to judge it by its looks alone , many fishermen in the Altona area , use V19R's that have been customized & they will vouch just how over built such a craft is & how seaworthy of a craft they are .

p.s. I personally have been around boats like the V19R since the mid 80's & they handle the worst conditions imaginable in PPB & offshore Tuna fishing off Bermagui etc . It most likely is built to Eden Craft or Coota craft standard or higher , it is worth 35k to 45k .

A mate of mine bought a Haines huntsman v19 for $22k with a new model 175 Suzuki that had done less then 100 hours. It needed a new floor/transom but now since doing it he has a virtually brand new boat for $30k.

But chasing $45k for a boat as old as that with no sounders or even a winch. Tell him he's dreaming.

Oh how I miss the wisdom of Darryl Kerrigan, well done Ducky on quoting an Australian icon :icon_lolz:

The owner most likely pumped the price up to 45k for negotiation , in the end it will most likely sell for mid to low 30's .

Firstly strange to sell a freshly rebuilt boat. Why bother with the rebuild if you are only going to sell it.

Pending trailer condition it might be worth about 25-30k, maybe a touch more if the trailer is as new but it doesn't appear to be.

Pumping up the price by that much if that was the intention is only going to keep serious buyers away.
