I clipped the jetty with my boat damaging the gel coat and gunnel rubber my insurer club marine were great sent photos and approved the qoute didn't even come and look at the boat. Can not speak highly enough about them

Contact Consumer Affairs as well as VCAT for advice - Also have a really close read of your Insurance Contract and see if it contains any comment regarding "Wear and Tear" as well as comment as to what they consider constitutes "Accidental Damage" - Good Luck - Feedback appreciated.

Try the Financial Ombudsman Service. I've had a couple of insurance claims on my motorbike knocked back by the insurer, went to the FOS. The result was, the insurer couldn't have been more helpful and paid the full claim.
