Had a oopsie with the boat.
Had a wake wave come through from another boat and had to turn the boat sharply and hit back on the pontoon trying to stay away from other boats and then when tieing to have a look at damage rubbed up against something sharp.
Insurance says it’s wear and tear and happens to a lot of boats so not covered.
I said it was a accident as it wasn’t intentional and why would I damage a $25k boat on purpose.
Still not covering it.
I spat back if it was a small dint in a car park world be covered why not this.
Everyone should learn how to drive a car in all conditions and there should
Be no accidents should never happen then and I hanged up.

Bummer I can’t really see the extent of the structural damage by the photo. My advice get it professionally assessed and send the repair quote to the insurance company or request they send out an assessor.

Looks pretty bad. Sorry for that to happen.
That definitely doesn't look like wear and tear.
Sounds like the insurance company was dodging it.

Re: Had a oopsie with the boat.
Did you send pictures of the damage or was it just a verbal dialogue ? If they saw the damage I doubt they would have said it's wear and tear, personally if it was me I would lodge a complaint with fair trading and send pictures for proof, once they get contacted by fair trading you'll find their attitude will change. I'm speaking from experience.

Re: Had a oopsie with the boat.
It’s rear bottom side about 4 inches above the rear step.
The side of the boat impacted the pontoon
