'Recreational' Boating

Post by Squizz » Tue Mar 15, 2022 5:40 pm

G'day All,

Got fond memories as a kid of heading out in a boat, bit of fishing, bit of cruising and then pulling up on a beach for a banyan/lunch and a swim.

Full disclosure this was 25 years ago in a much warmer and less developed part of the world !

But I've got kids of my own now and wanting them to get similar experiences if they can.

Is this or a version of it something that is achievable around the Mornington peninsula, either PFB or WPB sides (having a blast across to Phillip Island maybe ?) Or even out in Gippsland or any of the fresh water further inland ?

I’ve got no idea what a banyan is but can only guess it’s a bit past pg…

For cruising and fishing plenty of spots on the southern pen and Phillip island
