Hey guys
I’m after recommendations for a place to get
My Yammy saltwater serviced on the Mornington pen.
I did go to a larger boat dealer but it was one
Of those places that quotes one price on phone
And then proceeds to add unnecessary crap
Onto std service and ended up being 25% more.

Any suggestions welcome. 👍

Impellers I dont mind.
Its the 50 bucks extra in fuel additive and a bit of corrosion guard sprayed over engine that ***** me.
Everything they could possibly do, they did.
I had it all done as a precaution last service 200hr , just after i bought the boat , and so it didnt all need doing again, but they did anyway.
Surprised at only 2 recommendations, 1 of which is the place in question.

Try these guys, both are in Carrum downs and are reliable. bit of a drive depending on which part of the peninsula you reside in.

https://www.southsidemarine.com.au/

https://theoutboardworkshop.com.au/

i also know of a yamaha Mechanic that works from home, if you want the info then let me know, but with covid and all that i doubt its worth pursuing for now..

Cheers

Unfortunately Alan at southside Marine has closed his business recently.
He was great to deal with.
I'm also on the lookout for a new boat mechanic

I wasn’t aware of that, that's a shame then. He had very good review's.

TheOutboardWorkshop.. great guys no bull$hit.. they wreck motors as well so can source cheaper parts if you're in luck.. reasonably priced as far as outboard mechs go :tu:
