Spec list for older boats? (Edencraft 2001 565 sports)
Does anyone know where I could find spec lists for my boat?
It's a 2001 Edencraft 565 sports (just purchased). I called Edencraft but they said they don't have any information on these older boats and an online search isn't showing up anything.
If anyone knows where to find old reviews etc that would be great.

Logic is if Edencraft themselves don't have the specs than neither does the insurance company. I would have thought the fuel tank size would be easy to work out, next time she's empty fill her upChiefsha wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 11:34 pmDoes anyone know where I could find spec lists for my boat?

I bought it with a 175 engine on there but have heard that these hulls are only rated to 150hp.. so would like to follow up before it becomes an issue with insurance. Also, have no idea about fuel tank size haha.

Bit pisspoor on edencrafts behalf for not even trying to help.
Your best bet id say is to join an appropriate Facebook page for the boat and ask questions there.

The red one? Can't help with exact specs, but I know Central Marine at the time had 1 fitted with a 225hp HPDI, and after that Ball built boats I've seen run 4 strokes and DI 2s between 150 and 200hp. An earlier Bairnsdale built boat I know started with a 200hp carb and went to a 200 HPDI. And an OG Haines model fitted with a 200hp carb. Fuel I can't remember but you're eyeing between 180 and 250L. Only way you'll know for sure is to drain and refill. Rest of the hull specs, deadrise, loa etc are identical to the OG Haines excluding the pod.

Who told you they were only rated for 150hp?
The original haines 565l which is the same hull was rated to 220Hp, 175hp was very commonly fitted with many saying the 175/185 inline 6 was the perfect power to weight for the hull.
I don't see the edencraft version being rated to less to the original haines.

I called Edencraft and got transferred to a bloke who's been there since the start who verbally told me they are rated at 150 but they don't have any further documents on these old hulls.frozenpod wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 1:46 pmWho told you they were only rated for 150hp?
