Realistically the worst that would happen is the trailer will collapse under the weight of the boat on the freeway so just run it into the ground imo

That Looks like a fair bit of rust, best you take it to a good welder or trailer place and get it assessed properly.
you can always look for a used trailer, but thats always a gamble too.

you need to spend a bit more time when washing down the boat on the trailer as well to prevent this from happening in the future.

When u first got the boat ,I thought trailer needed work ?
Did u get work done and now needs more work.?
Or was is a different boat.
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish,catch a fish
