Says razorcraft boats rebuilt it in ad.Pdiddy24 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 5:48 amThe thing i don't understand with a rebuild is how can you be assured of the quality of the build? As opposed to a new build from a reputable boat builder company that comes with warranties.
Just curious as I'm not experienced in this but from my understanding it seems you'd have to be insane to consider paying that match for a backyard hobby job as opposed to a new build from a professional.
For rebuild's is there any survey certificate to give any comfort that the build has been done to any relevant standard?
$100,000 question.

Re: $100,000 question.
Can someone clarify the cost of a decked out new EC 6.0? Is it 110k or more? I'm hearing its way more than that but haven't personally enquired.

Between 100-110 for a 6.0 offshore BMT package, depending on the quality of the add ons and how much extra you need. 91k for the 565Robbie1950 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 6:32 amCan someone clarify the cost of a decked out new EC 6.0? Re: $100,000 question.
I always wonder this too. Like when you see a pod that is bolted to the transom and then they throw a 300 on there (or two).
That article about the V19 suggests that they "could" have put a 450 on it, but decided on a more sensible 200.
The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

Re: $100,000 question.
If Maslins is lucky to get 80 without the attention it's got then this isn't worth 50 let alone the 65 asked https://www.boatsales.com.au/boats/det ... I do believe he will get close to $90,000 Mark simply because of the magazines it’s featured in and how it’s always jizzed over on Facebook. Without that attention I believe he’d be lucky to get 80.
That’s just my opinion

Re: $100,000 question.
I'd trust alot of backyard jobs and majority of professional jobs from the likes of Hi-tech (Razorcraft), McQuarries etc in 20 years time to be 100% structurally sound over a new Haines Hunter.Pdiddy24 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 5:48 amThe thing i don't understand with a rebuild is how can you be assured of the quality of the build? You just have to look on this forum for an example in Duckys F15 that's less than 20 years old. Formula Powerboats Australia were a very reputable builder back 15-20 years ago with a 455 flop, a 565 flop and a Donzi flop, and yet his was full of moisture and would have required a full gut and rebuild within about 5-10 years if not earlier. Re: $100,000 question.
Agreed cobby. My formula was hull #1 out of the formula moulds. Literally the first boat made. 2002
Transom you can blame on the bung wear and tear. Plus just having dozens of holes over the years. Floor could have been anything, a few screw holes uncovered etc. but it was only sloppily resin coated underneath. But no real excuse on the stringers. That was just lazy. Drain holes un coated etc. I’m no boat builder by any stretch of the imagination but if that formula got 20ish years I would hope this rebuild lasts a bit longer.
Maslins boat started as a completely clapped out 565f with a new l top deck. Razorcraft built the boat from there. They have a very good reputation.

Keep in mind back in 2001 the hull brand new was about 20k.

I know you’re being a little facetious, but I’m not disagreeing with that at all. You’d pay 65k for that?
