A very long story short I’m considering risking divorce proceedings and taking on another project build lol.
I fuckin love that 😂😂

So a 565L? Would be so nice. I’ve been thinking about it as well.

I’ve got the v15r that’s sitting in the backyard which would make an awesome little tiler, but if im doing to do it, it’s probably worthwhile doing it on a bigger hull that’s going to suit my needs more.

Have you found a 565 hull? Or just dreaming at this stage like I do?

Full thermo build from reputable pro ~55
Ply build from reputable pro ~52
Full thermo backyard job with full photo documentation of build ~52
Ply backyard job with photos ~50
Backyard job claiming kevlar infused unicorn and pixie dust blend board (ie could be anything...) build with zero photo documentation to validate ~45 IF it passes surveyors check.

And to make the divorce proceedings a bigger possibility, you will lose money unless the hull is found for less than 10

Got one that’s not yet on the market kimtown

A little north of 10 but stringers and transom done. I’ve done the sums and using leftover materials it’ll be ~$39k finished and on the water with me doing all the work. Around $55k if a builder does it. I don’t think the heartache will be worth the end result.

I was hot on it all day yesterday and now I’m going cold having slept on it.

Maybe a couple k but that’s what negotiation is for. If it was $7k cheaper it would be in my backyard.

Well the ad is lacking detail, but glassed in stringers (without floor) and transom, what’s that, like 5k of work? Plus whatever an absolute bare bones 565L hull is worth with the top deck... 5k? Maybe 5k overpriced idk

It all depends on what work is actually done to the transom I guess. Whether it’s just the standard transom with rot removed and re-glassed or if it’s completely rebuilt with live wells etc.. that will determine the difference in price I’d imagine
