565 R fully decked out around 85k
598 R fully decked out around 95-100K
(Offshore prices in the same models are quiet similar)

Re: $100,000 question.
I quote "Joel has had a couple of issues, but says the 565 is value for money. If I had to place the 565, I'd say its right in the middle of a gunshot and my boat" Joel's obviously some dude that owns a EC600, let be honest someone that's comparing his own boat to others will always have a biased view.Kimtown wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 4:21 pmHmmm I remember differently but I’ll trust your word on thatfrozenpod wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:11 pmI think the original he was referring to had a dodgy rebuild and was fitted with a 300hp motor. The package had stability issues as by the sounds of it the transom was massively overloaded.
Also he said the ride of the new EC565 was better than the EC600 but not as good as a Gunshot.
Does anyone know what an EC600 reasonably speced up costs new?
I saw a Gunshot for the first time in flesh at PortPhillip Marine last week with a 300 yammy on the back, this thing looked like a fucken weapon.

Yeah that’s right, does he mean the ec6 is the best or the gunshot?Robbie1950 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 6:29 amI quote "Joel has had a couple of issues, but says the 565 is value for money. Imo the gunshot ride is going to be better because of it’s 2 degrees deeper dead rise, but like you said, own boat bias plays a factor which leads me to believe he thinks the ec600 is the best riding of the 3.

Re: $100,000 question.
V19R and the EC600 has always been known for a hard ride.
Honestly it makes no sense that EC continued to produce them as the hull is ok but nothing truely special.

Re: $100,000 question.
If I absolutely had to spend $100k on a single boat I’d look to import a tidy second hand Grady White Adventurer 208
To throw another option out there if you’re considering a rebuild. How do the haines encore 680 sf’s hulls perform? Potentially could find one at the right money to do a tidy rebuild to. Big boat though.
I really like the haines 580slf’s but I’m yet to see one in the flesh. I’d love the idea of rebuilding one. Making a big arsed casting deck that has a single step up either side of the console. Make it the same height as the front of the existing console. Gain some serious all round fishability whilst still having a bunk you can have a kip in. One day I’ll get in one and start a brain storm. In my head that’s my next boat.
Oh and for the record. Maslins 565 that would put a horn on a jellyfish is coming onto the market soon and it’s inside your price range...

Re: $100,000 question.
How I read it the his preference is 1. EC600 2. EC565 3. Gunshot but yes your right his statement is a little confusing.Kimtown wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 9:34 amRobbie1950 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 6:29 amI quote "Joel has had a couple of issues, but says the 565 is value for money. Clearly refering to ride and puts it as
Best gunshot, then 565 with 6m being the worst.
The comment about outboard weight is interesting as 4 strokes are heavier than 2 strokes.
