Thanks Purple5 yeah I was looking at travel times and it’s the same to either Queenscliff or sorrento so that’s why I thought I’d try something different. Going out the heads is a new thing for me so depending on tides and weather I’ll see how it goes.purple5ive wrote:if your going out the heads then queenscliff is closer to you.

Thanks Peristence I might try sorrento,Persistence wrote:Sorrento has a good ramp and docking pier and it's close to the heads.
Thanks Wolly hopefully I get the time Saturday and I might give sorrento a go it’s the same travel time for me and it’s something different. I might even catch a fish :super:Wolly Bugger wrote:You can launch at Mornington, Blairgowie does not have a public ramp. There is also Martha Cove which has heaps of parking. Sorrento if you wish to travel the far.Yota wrote:Apologies if this is the wrong place, just thought I’d save starting a new thread with a “hopefully” easy question.
I might get the chance Saturday morning to venture down the south end of the bay and would like to know the best place to launch with a 6m fibreglass boat.
The wind and weather look good so I might even have a look out the heads. I’m from outer north so I’ve got no experience with ramps down the hat way. I’ve launched from Queenscliff before no dramas but thought I’d try the other side.
A lot of the info I can find online seems dated re boat ramps.
I was looking anywhere from Mornington to rosebud or even Blairgowrie if it has a ramp ?
Thanks
