Re: Winter Boat Show - Jeff's Shed
I'm heading there tomorrow arvo. There's a rebuilt formula 23 I want to drool over. I've long since given up on buying anything there. Just head there to suss out boats etc. My 4yo son loves it these days. Been there every year since he was 9 days old haha.cobby wrote:Only to drool over shiny fiberglass and alloy*barra mick wrote:Was it worth going ?

Re: Winter Boat Show - Jeff's Shed
It was pretty average to be honest I was hoping to clean up on terminal tackle but even hooks n sinkers were average store prices. Monster fish had the best quality there I got a great new rod there is a lot of cheap stuff but nothing worth getting.. Actually some big game skirts n diver rolls were like 6 packs for 99 and 70 bucks.. And there were a lot more ski boats.. But some great fishing boats the show grounds expo is better IMO
If I'm not fishing, I'd rather be fishing!

Re: Winter Boat Show - Jeff's Shed
Lots of bits and bobs for boat fitout which were semi reasonable in price but nothing overly special. I worked the Marine Safety Vic stand from 12-5 with no break and only had about a halfa afterwards to do some shopping. Still picked up a Daiwa Ballistic 4000 and a thrown in surf rod (Daiwa aird) super cheap from monster fish stand also. Was great speaking to some other boaties though especially when the fishing talk comes up. Met Paul Worsteling too, who is a ripper bloke and Charlie Micallef from savage seas adventures who's also a ripper bloke too.
