From Maritime Safety Vic - today, Friday.

To help slow the spread of coronavirus, we recommend you cancel planned boating activities this weekend. Recreational boating is a non-essential activity.
The advice to Victorians is clear: if you can stay home, you must stay home. Your exposure to others while refuelling, buying bait or being rescued in the event of an incident may contribute to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
This is tough. But each of us are being asked to make sacrifices to save lives.
Take care everyone. Stay up to date with the latest health advice from DHHS: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus Better Boating Victoria Victorian Fisheries Authority

You and me both. Got flatties this morning to actually have more than 4 chicken breasts in the freezer thanks to absolute ******* idiots stripping every single shelf bare. And going at stupid o clock tonight when no one is around for the sport.

The way people carry on about staying at home. Yet are quite happy expecting people to head into a people riddled supermarket where you aimlessly walk around for half an hour holding a trolley with God knows ******* what invisibly stuck to it is ridiculous

Obviously the advice to Victorians in every media platform possible about non essential activity the last week is falling on deaf ears.
Just went and logged into the Altona boat ramp car park camera - looks chockas to me.
All doing essential boating of course.

Betterboating vic and marine safety vic are asking people to stay home. Ramp bans aren’t far off.

I’ve strictly adhered to social distancing so far during the pandemic and been extremely vigilant with my hygiene but I will be fishing this weekend with my cousin in a small tinny and nothing will stop me from doing that, bar a complete lock down.

Sue me.
Well, all that macho talk only to get scared and chicken out when it came down to it. The fish live on for another day (or year)

Also lol, Sue 😂

If anyone needs meat check out wholesaler butchers like tip-top in Laverton. Went there this week, they had about 50kgs beef mince, any kind of steak you could possibly want, chicken, pork, pasta, frozen foods for the oven, etc.
