Hi all
I've taken my grandchildren here several times but never had a bite, heard there are carp and eels in the lake, so my question is there a area where there is at least a chance of catching anything, thanks.

Been there but never fished there. Try worm after some rain. Usually works.
Kororoit creek and Newport lake got carp too.

Plenty of carp in there use burley like pollard or ground chicken pellets mix with water so you can make balls then chuck it in where you are fishing every 20 minutes that will bring the fish to you.

Thank you for the advice guys , we will keep trying and also try Newport lakes, yes I was very weary of snakes so we only fished along the Millers road side on the grass, I've had my fair share of snake encounters.

Caught big carp just next to the carpark.
Used corn on running sinker, close to the weeds, not far out
Cheers Gra

I haven't been there for a while, but I've found Cherry Lake to be one of the more reliable carp spots around town. Like Texas said they're often close to the bank, no need to cast out too far.
