Cannons Creek :- This is a great place to pump yabbies at low tide.

Mullet, trevally and juvenile salmon on a tide change, don't bother if it's flowing hard.

Tooradin also has good trevally on chicken.

Thanks That was very helpful but regarding Corinella Pier there is plenty of fish there to catch except the boats going out from the boat ramp which is annoying and also in the summer months the kids jumping of the pier doesn't help much either.. Other than that not a bad pier to fish and take the kids to..cheers Jase

Is flinders good on high tide middle of the day for squid,

If the squid are there the answer is yes.

Generally the best time for squid, is sunset and sunrise, particularly if there is a high tide at those times.

High tide is around 1pm taking the kids so that's the best time for us,where's the deepest on the pier

Squid can be any where along the pier, I generally look where there are ink stains and have a go there. Be prepared to loose some jigs as it is pretty snaggy with the kelp there.
