I am starting up fishing again (has been about 25 years ago in Canada since I fished.)
Anyway, I want to do Freshwater fishing and I live in the Werribee area but willing to travel up to a couple of hours.
My preference is to fish for Trout.
Any suggestions, warnings etc. ?

There's few lakes within 2 hrs drive that got trout. Best is to check Vic Fisheries website.

This last weekend i discovered a revivor in Ballan that would hold fish, a 4 wheel drive will get you to a good spot.

Bostock reservoir is in Ballan stocked with trout and salmon. Upper stoney Creek is worth a look as well
