More Brutes on Silly String

Post by purple5ive » Fri Oct 18, 2019 8:08 am

Headed out over the weekend to chase some squid.
we got our bag of squid, mostly ok sizes, some in the 30cm hoods. they came on hard in a small bite window again, so i didnt take any pics. still missed the krakens, so maybe next trip ill get lucky.. red foil jigs this time..

After Bagging out we decided to look for some salmon. a bit of searching and again found them on sidescan.
out came the light gear and it was game on!!!
got about 7 fish or so with the one pictured being the biggest at 62cm we had enough after that and headed back home.. :tu:

2506 mate. It's a shallow spool version of a std 2500 daiwa.
They never made the luvias in a 4k size. Biggest is the 3012.

I was gonna say 2500 I swear, but it looked bigger on the camera with your long straight arm lol ... Just joking.
Yea I love how Daiwa make shallow spool, good for short cast fishing where we dont need a lot of line out. Lighter too.

it looks bigger cause i had to wear the camera over my life jacket and it was just inches away from the reel.
ill have to find a different way to mount the camera so its not so close. im not a fan of the headmount for the gopro..

Yea I was wondering that. I noticed your video has low angle, coz of the chest mount, wouldn't it be bothering.
If you don't like head mount, maybe setup cameras on the boat then? With camera holder steady balancer thing. My mate got one, pretty impressive.
Obviously your video wont be first person point of view though.
