Hi fellow anglers, my name is Joe and I'm one of the fortunate Melbournians living 5km within docklands area.

I have been casually fishing for about a year or so now. Currently, I have two rods - 7ft travel rod & 10ft surf rod. It's great that i finally found Vic specific online community other tham reddit.

Please consider me a newbie and feel free to reach out to me, any tips around fishing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all

Unfortunately have not encountered any kingfish yet in the area... will let you know if i land one

so far i have had only a few pinkies and small breams. Hoepfully i can land something else or bigger this summer! Mind if i ask you what sort of set up you fish with?
