Hi there
Hi everybody, hope you're all catching. Came across this forum whilst searching for ideas on places to fish and thought it looked like a great place to talk fishing so here I am. My fishing background was mostly freshwater bait fishing with the odd deep sea charter back in England. Been here for 6 years now and the urge to fish bit me again but wanted to try something different. To that end I've been flicking plastics for the last couple of months on the piers and jetties of Melbourne's west and also in Geelong and loving it. Managed to catch a few as well.

Re: Hi there
Welcome to the forum. It is indeed a good place to talk fishing. Discussion and report of people's catches.
Which part of Melb west are you in? The west of port phillip bay doesn't have as many piers/jetties compared to the east.

Re: Hi there
I'm in Point Cook. Most of my recent fishing has been done in Geelong or flathead Central as I've come to call it. Also do a bit in Williamstown.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: Hi there
Caught my best flattie at St Helens and got busted up by something that was definitely not a flattie.

Re: Hi there
Where abouts at barwon heads, by the jetty or up river a bit? Haven't fished there yet but it's definitely on my list.
