Haven't fished for whiting this year...

P5 I defended you and just said I don't like boats anchoring near me.

As for not knowing what electric trolling motor do or don't do your comment reeks of arrogance mate... Yours obviously doesnt fir the purpose if its almost causing collisions.

And as I Already mentioned, if you dont know anything about the subject please don't keep bringing it up.

I have never fished while anchoring with the trolling motor in this particular area. I know next time not to make this mistake.

FYI.. I have anchored with the xi5 a good distance away in front of cowes pier in a good tide and held anchor perfectly for hours.
Its possible my battery is showing signs of aging or perhaps it needed a charge before I took it out last time as it was quite a few weeks in between.
I will find out next time im out.

Look man i think you really need to go back and read that report properly.

Somehow this has gone from . You should learn to anchor properly to name calling to tell the whole story to meh it was a average session to say the least.
When all I wanted to do was share with you guys the fact that I actually caught some whiting on bait after giving it a go for the first time ever..
There was nothing more to it..

I actually really enjoyed your post, the fact that you caught your first whiting on bait must have been satisfying. It's not unusual to be swamped by boats when you are catching whiting, it's a pain in the butt. After you got a few on bait were you tempted to put a plastic on?, I have caught so many on plastics over the years and they tend to hit the plastic really hard. For what it's worth, just keep doing what you are doing and keep the reports and write up's coming, there will always be jealous people, or people who want to mock your efforts, at least you go to the trouble of putting an effort to give a bit of a write up and some good pics, tight lines
