Chillout session!!

Post by purple5ive » Fri Jan 10, 2020 10:58 am

Caught up with an Old Mate and TeamB2f staffer and also member on here moonskies for a bit of a landbased Gummie session.
its something i havent done in over 8 or so years, so the casting skills were a bit rusty..
we headed down one of the peninsula beaches for a bit of a chillout session.
we avoided a donut session by snagging a 50cm partial length gummy pup on a squid strip...
we called it a night and got home at 4am and off to bed..

woke up in the morning with the phone going nuts, its was ringleader phil, he got news of the landbased session and wanted to organise another trip asap.. so we round up moonskies again and head off to another beach nearby for a change, none of us had fished this area before. but we were optimistic and besides that the weather was fantastic..

we were greeted by a fantastic looking beach

we got to work preparing the gear and catching up on some old stories of fishing together.

the weather was fantastic and we were just happy to sit down and relax, so much more fun than boating for a change

after what seemed like a very quite night ringleader phil decided to packup and go home as he was fishing the next day on his boat, i had a feeling we were going to get one after he left hahaha, and just as i suspected about an hour later one of the rods buckled and i made a beeline for it
this was the end result, didnt measure or weigh so no idea about stats, came on a trevally fillet.

we called it a day after that as we were pretty tired.
cheers

Thanks guys.
Was defenitely a welcome change from casting, twitching, pausing and then rinse and repeat.....
This time around it was more like cast, put rod in holder , sit in chair and talk ****...
