Not 100% sure what the tide was doing, I work on change of light and swell more so than tide. I'm running a 902 revolution and 5k sustain but any rod around 9' that can cast somewhere between 40 and 60 g and reel around that size will work.

I was using 40g gillies baitfish, swell was 1-1.2m can't remember exactly. Was that a 40gm lazer metal slug that you used?
I see, what was the swell on that day? 1m? Looks pretty low.
What's the ideal wind/swell to go to? I went there couple times last month with no success. Only couple small ones with bait.
