Went back to Gunna last night, same place, almost same bait, except for salmon, they weren't co-operative.

Caught one large toadie, a few crabs and that was it. It got a bit cold, so packed up and left.

We often hear about people's success stories, but rarely about the fruitless times spent fish-less. Well they are not exactly fruit-less because all experiences create learning and knowledge.

Hi Guys,

We've got some "Crab Stoppa" rigs from Hot Shotz in NZ we've been testing over the past few weeks. These rigs are a single arm paternoster style rig with a foam float at the end of the dropper to keep your bait away from those pesky crabs. They're made from 50lb mono with 5/0 Sakana Cirle Hooks.

Buy em here: http://www.specialtyfishing.com.au/prod ... opper-rig/

There are a limited number available on our site and if you PM me I will respond with a coupon code available only to Fishing Victoria members. This code entitles you to FREE SHIPPING of your entire order (orders sent via Aust Post only).

Cheers,

Cam.

Great pics. I am new to this forum and I have not heard of the place gunna. Is this far from Melbourne? Also would anyone recommend any other places good for surf fishing.

Thanks

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Gunna last night. Was cack.

Did see a few kids drowing in a RIP tho..... Dont walk in those. :rough:

They survived. Fortunate for a few late surfers were just about to leave. Parents should be set on fire.
