McCloughlins Beach

Post by simon2g » Mon Dec 30, 2024 9:59 pm

Been a while since I've headed down the 90 mile Beach and had a crack and thought is try for 2 or 3 days.

I was thinking of trying where the river / lake enters the ocean. Which is as you take the jetty from McCloughlins Beach car park across through the brush, you turn left once you've hit the beach and walk pprox 2.5ks towards the mouth. Think it looks like a good place to try

If the surf isn't producing try the mouth.

Would love to try for just about anything willing to take a 1/0 hook, flatties, bream, salmon, trevally and then catch and eat/catch and use for bait to try for gummy, bronzes etc at night. Is this a worthwhile spot to concentrate efforts into? As I likely will only be focusing on one spot when I'm down there.

Cheers! Tight lines

I fished at golden beach .
I only caught crabs.
No salmon on slugs.
Did see a decent snapper landed around 7.30 am.
A drone would be handy.
Good luck.
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish, catch a fish
