Asian Style Steamed Fish!
Hi guys/gals i usually cook my fish either steamed/fried/stir-fried or baked.
So this is how i like to cook my fish cause its much more juicy and it taste great!
So what you will need:-
1 fish
half a ginger
spring onions
oil
soy sauce ( not sure on the brand but i use a sweet kinda soy sauce in a yellow bottle that you can pick up from coles or asian grocer )
Big pot or Wok with a steamer stand
What you need to do:-
So prepare your fish give her a good clean and put 2-3 cuts along the fish body
Get your pot or wok out and start boiling the water, id say put about quarter of water of how big your pot or wok is and just gradually add more water if needed.
So once your water is boiled get the Steamer stand in and put your fish on a plate ontop of the steamer stand.
Steam your fish for bout 15-25mins Depending on how big your fish is, But if your unsure just check it after 15mins.
During that time finely dice your Ginger into nice long pieces and same with your Spring onions Soon as you done that you can place it over the fish while its still in the steamer.
Near the end bout 5mins to go when your fish is nearly done, Grab a pan put about 1-2cups of Oil in the pan and get it really hot.
Once your fish is done Pour the Hot oil ontop of the fish! and youll hear it crackle and crisp :woohoo:
Then Pour desired amount of Soy sauce all over the fish and shes done! shes ready to eat!
Hope you enjoy an asian style way of cooking fish!
