Yeah it's the best and their Lightly Seasoned Fish version is great for dusting KG fillets in before grilling.

I couldn't find thread so this seems like most logical thread to post this question being squid related

The other day someone posted something about crumbs they put on squid? What were they called again? And would they be ok on schnitzels?

A bump up for Kimtown

Cheers bug.

Gonna make some parmas tonight I'll give this a go.

On chicken do you go flower > egg > tandaco or just dip the fillets straight in the tandaco?
Cheers

All easy as, easiest way to make Schnitzels , , , , no need for flour or egg (The Tandaco must have a flour content in it already which does it all) , , , , just dip straight into the Tandaco. Helps if whatever you are coating is wet first, but not dripping wet.

Sounds like dinner should be at your place tonight :-D

Hope they come out a treat for you

Cheers, Bug
Salt and pepper or southern fried chicken for snitz?
Kimster, for Shnitties, I'd use Soutern Fried Chicken.

That Tandaco stuff, is a coating/dusting, the wetter the Piece of what ever, the thicker the coating becomes , , , , that's because, like making Shnitties, you dip/pat the piece in the Tandaco seasonings (like bread crumbs) and only take it out when it is covered well and the surface covered and dry enough to handle.

The Southern Fried Chicken stuff is close to KFC taste and works well with Chicken but I have used it on occasions for Porterhouse Steak (which is what I use to make "veal" Schnitzels) and they come out nice. But keeping in mind, I spice the meat and bread crumbs when making Shnitties the traditional way, so we do like the Shnitties with spice/flavour.

BUT getting back to choice between Salt & Pepper or Southern Fried Chicken , , , , I used the Salt & Pepper one for the first time the other day as I would normally use the Southern Fried Chicken one. I had the Fish and Squid rings too wet when I dipped them in the Tandaco. Tjis made the coating thickish , , , , which meant a lot more Tandaco was on the Fish and Squid , , , , and found it very Peppery. If the fish and Squid wasn't as wet but more just damp , , , , the amount of Tandaco Salt & Pepper that would have been on them would have toned done the amount of Pepper and would have been nicer , , , , I know for next time.

Hope this hasn't come too late , , , , like after dinner

Cheers, Buggaboo
