We headed out around 5am and headed down to the Tyabb bank to try for some squid. Unsuccessful after 45 mins we shot over to Lysaghts and anchored up with around a dozen other boats. After a few hours we had picked up a couple of couta and salmon and what felt like a 100 undersized flattys.
it was time to head back and once we got back to the mouth of Gentle Annie channel we had 30min up our sleeves so we anchored up in around 14m of water about 100m left of the cardinal marker there.
Within 10 mins bang! Off she screamed!!!
It was a good morning on the water that was finished off on a high! It took a pilchard cube on a snapper snatcher and went 58cm a pb for me.
