Wonthaggi report

Post by Kimtown » Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:27 am

Spent Friday night off wonthaggi. Dead calm all night. Some of the best fishing conditions I've had in a long, long time

Battled through giller upon giller, lost a lot of tackle before finally landing a decent gummy around the 10kg mark. Bait was frozen salmon (that's been in the freezer for like 3 years lol). Heaps of bait around offshore everywhere.. came across a few bait balls just randomly busting up. The next morning we got our bag of abalones too. So flake and abalone for dinner tonight!

Image

Ignore the constipated face.. half tired, half drunk, half worn out and whatever half is left is that face

Can't be ****** writing up a big descriptive post with all the details like stripplet does and whoever else who write up good reports, so I'll just answer any questions, if any, in the coming posts

Pretty run of the mill size for the area. Great eating size though!

Caught this model at anchor and burley'd. I'm sure we could have found more on the drift, but was quite contempt kicking back with a cold beer cruiser and waiting for the sharks to come to us.
