Something like 5 hours over a high, and you are out for 7+ hours over a low with no return in the meantime. Not a huge amount of tide flow, and no real channels until way out so its pretty easy. 2-3m deep for a fair way out.Lajon wrote:I’m actually moving down there next year, pretty interested in the yak fishing. I live 2 hours away, so to make the 4 hour drive worth it I fish over the low as they are longer sessions. It’s also a cruisy paddle out with the falling tide and back to launch with the rising tide. I’ve only caught gummies and one flathead that jumped on a bare hook dangling in the water while I was sorting a gummy out.
