Scientific evidence shows that post count has a direct correlation to the size of a specific appendage
Maybe on s#!tposting sites like reddit - not an issue here imo, its just behavioural traits of the posters.

Tons of people will read reports then not bother to comment or like (including myself) - at least people like lightning take the 5 seconds to acknowledge it with a comment. Imo thats a better contribution than the former and is a small driver to people wanting to post reports (as opposed to putting one up and no one comments - great motivation for whoever to do it again).

Classic bowl reports, off angle blurry photo and 1 line of text - would you rather nothing or happy at least having that?

We make communication adjustments in f2f social situations, just cos it's an internet forum, doesnt mean people shouldnt have wider awareness of the communities preferred communication standards. Off topic fb style convo in a thread with proper discussion needs to be recognised and pulled back on by the offending parties. Everything outside of this is fine imo.

(Except for quoting a massive report for a 3 word response)

You just shot your self on your own appendage.

Look at your stats.

You joined a little over 2 years ago and you have over 2000 posts.

Many of us here joined 2011 or earlier and we havent reached 8000 in more than 8 years.

At the rate you are going, you are ranked second.
You are just a few posts away from overtaking LX if you consider the membership tenure.

why are chips always crushed when you get back from the super market ?
You need to put them on top of the rest of your shopping..

Thing i find more annoying - is people quoting a full massive report to just write a short one liner, its a lot to continuously scroll through to read one line. No need to quote in that scenario - people can figure out what you are responding to!
This really annoys me aswell. Can something be done about this?

Cheers, Anth

I have removed the post count for now.

You can still see the Top Posters on the home page or if you view any specific member's profile.

The ranking system is still in place.

Let's see if this actually makes a difference to the quality of the content posted on the site...

Still open for discussion as it can easily be reverted back.

Cheers
