Smart move don't think you require an app dougie you manage to catch plenty of fish.
One of Melbourne's iconic land based anglers f&cked up hard when he had his website made with photos directly uploaded from his phone. He was always super careful not to put any identifying features in the pics, but had no idea that apple recorded the metadata which could then be looked at if you downloaded the photo. Instant GPS co ords for all his spots.

People think i'm paranoid but in all seriousness i'm just experienced with IT bullsh!t.

Just wait till fishing gets going. There will be plenty of posts.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Or maybe some humourless 8a5tard removed their signature several times, then removed their ability to create a signature, without the common decency of messaging them about it. Then the now signature less person decided to not post any more.
Maybe.

Of the 20 odd really solid contributors who were here when I started posting there are probably only 2-3 left who aren't only still here to promote their youtube / insta/ sponsored products.

Deleting fishing reports on fishing forum because it had the word 'penis' in it because oh won't someone think of the children!!!!!! Along with a bunch of other posts made in good fun that contained no swearing for those google dollars because obviously anyone on the internet is entire protected from naughty words and subtle **** jokes. Or that bikini top pic of that guys wife in whatever thread it was.

oh but anti vaxx nonsense, religious zealotry, actual hate speech, endless personal attacks and this is fine....

I reckon it's a mix, after being locked down over winter things were quiet since you either couldn't get out, or the fishing was pretty poor.
Spring has sprung and people can get out some more, fingers crossed for some solid reports! I know I'll be posting when I'm catching!

I also avoid those political topics, it's personal preference but I'm here for fishing.
