Yes. I'm pretty sure it's a bug that occurs when I don't close Chrome/Firefox when I put the laptop to sleep and then use the same browser window when I jump on the forum next time (if that makes sense). So just now I had Chrome still open when I logged in and the forum wasn't loading properly, so I shut Chrome down and opened it up again and was able to open every unread thread in new tabs without a problem.
No idea why this is happening, as you can probably tell I'm no IT guru but at least I don't have to deal with it any more.
