Quick Report from the Peninsula

Post by purple5ive » Mon Mar 02, 2020 9:33 am

Havent been out in a while, so i decided to take the boat out and burn off some of the old fuel in the tank.

was out for half the day and plenty of pinkies around, lots were undersized but managed to get around 9 that were between 28 to 35cm taking plastics and bait.
also had a quick squidding session, took a few drifts to find them, but when we found them they were on fire, a super aggresive retrieve or a burn and kill would get them everytime.
sleeper jig (dad) got 1 squid as opposed to 15 others 2 of us caught. 14T was the best coloured jig, we left them biting to go and chase the pinkies.

all in all good day to be out and give the boat a run.
quite a few garfish around atm, also landed some barracouta, pike, flathead and banded perch
